The enemy is not likely to present himself during our strong or confident times. He will attack during our weakest times of conflict, emotional crisis; or when other loved ones are themselves under attack. He will attempt to get us to agree with his lies, and please don’t forget, he already knows who we are in Christ. In Acts 19:15, concerning the 7 sons of Sceva, the enemy spoke saying, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?”The 7 sons had no foundation in Christ and were the sons of a chief priest.
As traveling Jewish exorcists they witnessed God use Paul mightily under a powerful anointing. They saw Paul call out demons having handkerchiefs, towels or aprons put on him. He would place them on those needing healing deliverance as they were healed and delivered from demons. The sons of Sceva attempted to copy Paul by invoking the name of Jesus; but were dealt with harshly by the demonic entities. They were chased, beaten bloody, and naked as they ran for their lives.
We must always stand in agreement with how the Word of God describes us, His children. We must always be in agreement with the God's word. We must try to become what God has called (and prepared) us to be as we spiritually mature. One mighty insight I gained from the Hebrew translation is that our TRUST, enables us to endure the trials. We gain confidence and Joy during the trial, and have a great “coming out” with a shout of Victory, when the trial (test or conflict) is over.
Consider David's slaying Goliath,(example of a test of faith) and the holding of his head as victory, praising Almighty God.
We must always remember who we are in Christ. We don't want to hold back our growth with him from a lack of productivity. Why Back track and allow the enemy to trick us into agreement with him; thus, undermining our authority and our power over him.
1 John 5:18 refers to our God-Given revelation of who we are in Him, through Christ. Saying, “He that is born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him”.
Remember, when victorious over our enemy, Yeshua Jesus Himself said, “Behold, I give you Authority to trample on serpents and scorpions; and, over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall in any means harm you.”
Shout Glory Somebody!
God Bless You and Yours
